Licensed Instructors (ICBC Class 6/8)

Important: This role is only for candidates who already hold a valid ICBC Class 6/8 Motorcycle Instructor License.

Please do not apply if you do not currently have an instructor license. Getting licensed requires completing a 3-week Instructor Training Course (ITC), and there are currently no ITC options available on Vancouver Island. We are hoping to offer the ITC in 2027.

Parking Lot Helpers

We’re looking for dependable parking lot helpers to support training sessions. Former students will be given preference.

At a glance

  • Schedule: Sundays 7:00am–11:00am, with occasional Saturdays
  • Pay: $25/hour
  • Role: Lot setup/support and moving motorcycles as needed

Requirements

  • Must have a Class 6/8 motorcycle license (a restricted learner’s license is fine for this role as you will be supervised)
  • Must be able to ride motorcycles confidently enough to safely move bikes around the lot
  • Reliable transportation and strong punctuality (early start)

Nice to have

  • Former Urban Rider/IslandRider student
  • Comfort working outdoors in variable weather
  • Fit and energetic

ICBC Test Support / Motorcycle Delivery (Langford – On-Call)

We’re hiring for contract or hourly support on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays to deliver motorcycles to ICBC for MST testing. This is an on-call / as-needed role. You will not be required to cover all shifts – shifts will be emailed to you about a week prior and you may accept or reject based on your availability.

Route/Location: Deliver a bike from our storage in Langford to the ICBC MST Testing Centre on Dunford Ave (Langford), meet the student who requires the bike, wait during the test (typically ~1 hour), then return the bike to storage.

Pay structure

  • $20/hour
  • Minimum 4-hour shift paid (some shifts will
  • Bonus $20 per test

Minimum example pay: If you deliver a bike (about a 7-minute ride each way), meet the student, wait approximately 1 hour, then return the bike, the minimum pay would be $100 (4 hours × $20 = $80, plus $20 per test = $100).

Requirements

  • Must have a motorcycle license with the supervisor restriction removed
  • Enough riding experience to feel comfortable on a Grom or dual sport in city traffic (Langford)
  • Professional, reliable, and comfortable interacting briefly with students at pickup/dropoff

Schedule & availability

  • Tuesdays and/or Thursdays only, during testing hours (between 8:30 to 3:30)
  • On-call: hours vary based on testing demand
